Harness height?
Wait, no booster option? There hasn’t been a forward facing harness only seat made in the US in a few years, as I recall. And a foot prop AND top tether? The head of that seat isn’t going anywhere. Wow.
Any chance you know the top slot height? I would love to see the inner working of the mechanisms.
Yeah, I find it funny that they put a booster option on their convertible, but not on this.
We’re watching out for our readers! We were their first appt of the day and gave them lots of feedback, including making sure to have high top harness slots. The rep said they’re aiming for at least 18″.
In my opinion, 18 inches on a forward facing only seat is not enough. Need to be at least 20 to compete with the frontier, that makes a good booster, too.
Ditto. 18 is barely more than lots of convertibles, and at that price…
Noooooo… I so hoped they would bring a convertible to Europe :'(
Agreed. At 18″ that doesn’t really interest me. What we really need is a seat to compete with the Frontier at 20″
Tell them to leave the chest clip off the US version.
Looks like an awesome seat ~ but one that has no place in our home unfortunately. At that price, with those predicted slots, and no booster option – no way. Bummer because it looks really neat and comfortable!
While there seem to be some great features, this seat wouldn’t be on my list for several reasons. (1) 18″ top slots are not adequate. (2) I cannot imagine buying a FF-only seat that doesn’t convert into a booster. (3) The price is high for a FF-only seat. (4) That foot prop would make it difficult for kids to move around.
It’s on my list if it comes in plum. I have children who do not need to be harnessed to the tallest limits. (And I have a frontier if need be.) I do not like any combo seat as a booster simply because it’s difficult to buckle. I like the way this seat can recline for comfort. I think my children would be comfortable in it and would harness them to around age 10-12 years, so plenty tall enough!
I wonder if it will be allowable for shoulders to go over the top slots like on Radians?
Wait, was that an orange Monterrey in the background? And lime??? (or is it yellow?)
wow… I thought it wouldn’t have a market… with those features, it just made itself a market… wow.
Interesting seat. I’m guessing if that is the European prototype we won’t see the seat here for a while.
In love with the StratoFIX just as it is! Wish it could make it to the USA with NO modifications!!
