Yes! But you have to follow the directions and lock it into position before driving.
Rotating carseats are easy carseats to use because you rotate them to the side to grab your child out of the car and close the door. However, before you drive off for an errand without your child, you MUST remember to rotate the carseat back into a locked position.
The Revolve carseats are designed like a key system where when the carseat is locked on the base, it cannot come off. There’s a tab in the middle of the base that fits into a corresponding slot in the seat. When it’s in the unlocked position, there’s a chance that it can slide around on the base so that the arrows line up and the slot is just right—the carseat may come off in a strong enough collision.
How Can You Make Your Revolve Safe?
Use it according to directions. Regardless of whether or child is in the carseat, rotate it into a locked position. Make sure the Seat Lock window is showing green.
And please, when you see viral posts online about the Revolve360 flying off its base, know that the caregiver was misusing the carseat. If this carseat was truly flying off its base, it would have been recalled long ago. The Revolve360 Extend* is one of my Recommended Rotating Carseats and has been for a while.
