CYBEX Aton, Aton2, Aton M, Aton Q, Cloud Q Rear-Facing Only Infant Seats Recalled
Columbia Trading-Partners USA (CTP), the parent company of CYBEX, is recalling 5 models of Aton rear-facing only infant seats: Aton, Aton 2, Aton M, Aton Q, and Cloud Q. The design of the adjuster webbing for the central front adjuster allows it to fray, which can reduce the strength of the webbing. The central front adjuster is a technical name for the harness adjuster strap that you pull to snug up or loosen the harness.
While this is a serious recall, CYBEX has determined that you can continue to use a recalled carseat until the fix is received.

What If Your Seat Is Affected?
CYBEX will mail registered owners a kit to fix their seats. It will include a new central front adjuster strap and instructions. Replacement should take about 5 minutes. If you haven’t registered your carseat, call the number below.
1. CTP/CYBEX will send remedy kits to registered product owners via mail without any action of the owner.
2. CTP/CYBEX will send remedy kits to product owners that contact CTP/CYBEX via email, telephone, or web contact.
3. CTP/CYBEX will notify dealers and retailers with information that product owners need to receive remedy kits.
For owners and purchasers who incurred costs for remedies for replacing the recalled webbing in advance of February 16, 2023, please contact CYBEX customer service at 1-877-242-5676. Please consult your product’s Warranty for additional information.
How Replacement Strap Differs from Original Strap:
- The recalled webbing has one end folded over and sewn. The remedy/replacement webbing does not have one end folded over and sewn.
- The recalled webbing has 4 woven panels running lengthwise. The remedy/replacement webbing has 2 woven panels running lengthwise.
